Diagnostics

Diagnose, repair and commission (using diagnostic tooling- Caterpillar SIS, VIMS and ET ( electronic technician) as well as pressure gauges are used to test and verify the condition of components before and after repair

Rebuilding

All components that are stripped are cleaned, measured and verified to OEM specification and then rebuilt so that the component / machine will continue to deliver reliability in the workplace.

The images show the stripping of a 777D front suspension assembly for inspection, assessment and rebuild. Giving customers a full breakdown analysis report to determine the level of repair / rebuild options is standard practice at Tractor Support Services.

Successfully rebuilding a Cat® 966H wheel loader front differential group as part of a PCR (planned component replacement) programme. By removing major components before failure, it presents the opportunity to reduce heavy rebuild costs (if a failure is sustained), allows labour planning and parts organisation to be in place when the machine is pulled off front line duties therefore making sure the machines are returned to operations quicker.

Late in 2016 Tractor Support Services received a call from a large mining house in Africa to inspect 3 x Cat off highway 777F rigid dump trucks with the intention of purchasing them and sending them into gold production in an open pit gold mine in Africa
